Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for managing the Romanian production unit in Ploiesti, coordinating the manufacturing, production and inventory control facets of Ploiesti plant operations, ensuring profitability and achievement of corporate and company-established objectives.Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements safety systems to ensure that the organization is focused on continual improvement in a culture of safe work practices.
- Develops and implements continuous improvement projects to assure that quality, customer delivery and cost objectives are met.
- Develops forecasts and budgets, with continuous monitoring of operational performance.
- Maintains inventory levels to meet market and distribution network requirements and financial objectives.
- Develops, implements and administers policies, programs, workflows and procedures to meet the objectives of the Company.
- Determines appropriate personnel, equipment and/or materials to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on-time.
- Identifies and manages capital projects and maintenance of plant facility.
- Utilizes the tools of Six Sigma in management of the improvement processes in support of business objectives.
- Plans and develops supervisory, functional and support positions to achieve optimum efficiency for managed functions, working in conjunction with other Company functional areas: sets objectives, monitors and evaluates employee performance.
- Is responsible for the quality of the product shipped to customers through staff development.
- Is responsible for the safety of self and others.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications
- Technical University Degree - preferably in the oil industry.
- Post graduate degree in Business or Commerce is an advantage.
- At least 5 years in managing manufacturing operations - preferably in the oil industry or other heavy manufacturing industry.
- At least 5 years' manufacturing experience within international companies in areas including: safety, production and inventory control, manufacturing engineering, production management and quality.
- Management and leadership competence.
- Solid quality management expertise is an advantage.
- Advanced problem management, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
- Well-organized, self confident, able to prioritize and multi-task and to persuade others to do likewise.
- Excellent personal and interpersonal skills, including being able to influence at all levels to ensure effective decision-making.
- Able to communicate effectively in writing and face-to-face.
- A positive, "can-do" attitude, which can encourage others to give their best.
- Good strategic thinking, focused on results.
- Participative, flexible.
- Integrity and common sense.
- Advanced computer proficiency; working knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems is an advantage.
- Fluent in English is required.
