The process plant, which has a design capacity of 12 million tonnes per annum of ore, comprises a SAG mill and ball mill grinding circuit, each rated at 13 mega watts, with copper and precious metal recovery by flotation.
Reporting to the Senior Production Chemist, you will be responsible for on the job training and coaching of the Lao national fire assay team to ensure that quality sample results are delivered efficiently. As the Laboratory operates 24hrs per day, 7 days per week, you will be required to work some nights during your roster to conduct quality audits across all shifts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Ensure effective, economical, quality and on time results of sample analysis
  • Ensure the maintenance of Quality Assurance in analytical procedures and products are in accordance with company standards
  • Provide sampling analysis results in accordance with approved procedures
  • Ensure bullion analysis and shipment samples results are delivered in quality and timely manner

Position Summary:

The Senior Mine engineer will work at a variety of tasks including: mine planning and timing; reporting mine projections; ventilation and roof control plans; equipment specification and evaluation; surface construction and material handling mine sealing; CEA preparation; and assist in mine budgeting process.

Major Activities:
  1. Assume a leadership role and effectively communicate to all employees (salaried and hourly) expectations with respect to safety matters at Twentymile Coal Company.
  2. Develop and evaluate roof control plans which are compatible with current MSHA regulations and sound engineering principles.
  3. Maintain liaison and working relationships with government, industry/company officials, vendors regarding new products and systems.
  4. Develop specifications, bid evaluations, engineering evaluations for underground or surface equipment or construction projects.
  5. Properly evaluate ventilation plans and work with ventilation simulations, air changes, mine sealing and vendors regarding new or existing products or systems.
  6. Complete section projections, layouts, construction plans (underground or surface) and escape way maps.
  7. Maintain and monitor reports and records, as required by regulatory agencies and company programs, to ensure proper documentation and timeliness.
  8. Supply input for underground equipment and supplies for the budgeting process and subsequent creation and writing of CEAs for approval.
  9. Demonstrate the ability to treat employees fairly and consistently while holding them accountable for their performance.
Critical Results:
  1. Provide professional assistance, to line management, in order to accomplish acceptable production levels and safety performances.
  2. Identify and implement state of the art engineering designs that support Twentymile’s operational results.
  3. Address the problem areas of the mine with regard to engineering, ventilation, and construction while maintaining credibility with management and the hourly work force.
Nature and Scope:
  1. Specialized or Technical Knowledge and Skills: Basic knowledge of all equipment used in mining processes, is essential. Basic understanding of engineering principles and factors such as ventilation, industrial hygiene, electricity, hydraulics, explosives, and equipment is necessary. Communication skills, in dealing with the full range of human emotions, are essential. In depth working knowledge of policy, procedures, rules, and mandatory regulations is imperative. Must be a strong engineering figure in communicating and interacting with all levels of mine management and the hourly work force.
  2. Difficulty: Making recommendations and taking actions which are contrary to past practice, but in favor of improving overall mine performance and productivity. Making difficult decisions based on interpretations, experience and rules. Motivating and educating employees regarding new practices and procedures. Planning and organizing activities which are effective in meeting objectives. Positively influencing line management, from a staff position. Strong negotiating skills are required to insure we explore alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain support and acceptance.
  3. Equipment Operation: Proficiency in use of computers, calculators, environmental sampling equipment, gas and methane meters, and self contained breathing apparatus.
  4. Relationship of Job to Others in Its Function: Prior mining and engineering experience normally required. 5 to 10 years progressively more responsible experience in a mining and engineering role. An additional 3 to 7 years experience in an operations line management role is preferable. Must have Mine foreman’s papers or have the ability to obtain the same within a reasonable time frame. Being a Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) is preferred. At a minimum an EIT certificate and eligibility to take the P.E. test within two years is required.
  5. Report Preparation: Prepare monthly engineering reports for management.
  6. Responsibility and Decision Making Authority: Responsible for advising the Engineering Manager, Production Manager and others in line management of mandatory regulation ( and their interpretations), safe work practices and general engineering principles and concepts. Must establish procedures to monitor the results of delegations, assignments or projects while taking into consideration the skill, knowledge and experience of the assigned individual and characteristics of the assignment or project.
  7. General: With the many hazards inherent to coal mining, this position requires the ability to communicate and effectively present concepts and ideas that may be contrary to established work practices. The majority of work is accomplished through others, and virtually all success is dependent upon the efforts of other people. The ability to motivate and educate others is essential. Establish goals, budgeting of time, setting priorities, and allocating proper amounts of time to activities while maintaining an awareness or relationships

Requirements:
• Female
• Diploma with min. GPA 2.75/4.0
• Maximum age is 27 years
• Able to operate MS Office
• Good Communication skill
• Proficient in English
• Having 1 year experience as Receptionist, fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Willing to be placement at Jatiuwung, Tangerang

COSTING STAFF

Requirements:
• Male or Female
• Bachelor degree from Accounting or Management from a reputable university with min. GPA 2.75/4.0
• Maximum age is 30 years
• Able to operate MS Office
• Good communication skill
• Fluent in English
• Having 2 years experience as Costing Staff or Accounting Management
• Having knowledge about Oracle system is advantage
• Willing to be placement at Jatiuwung, Tangerang

MECHANIC STAFF

Requirements:
• Male
• Diploma degree from Automotive Engineering from a reputable university with min. GPA 2.75/4.0
• Maximum age is 27 years
• Having 1 year experience as Automotive Engineer, fresh graduate are welcome to apply
• Willing to be placement at Jatiuwung, Tangerang

ENGINEERING STAFF

Requirements:
• Male
• Diploma or Bachelor degree from Mechanical / Electrical Engineering from a reputable university with min. • GPA 2.75/4.0
• Maximum age is 27 years
• Having 1 year experience as Mechanical / Electrical Engineer, fresh graduate are welcome to apply

Job Description

In this role you will lead the provision of systems, methods and capability for the development and operation of configuration management throughout the ASA and to facilitate compliance with legislative requirements, better business decisions and the achievement of corporate goals of safety, reliability and cost effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice in a multidisciplinary engineering environment affecting rail services and assets.
  • Planning, analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to apply these skills to large, complex, multi-disciplinary asset management and planning programs.
  • Knowledge of the processes, requirements and interrelationships for the practical implementation of configuration management within an asset management engineering environment.
  • Experience at developing frameworks for whole of life configuration management and other related systems within a complex engineering environment and in the context of whole of asset life.
  • Understanding of configuration management tools and configuration information tools including experience at developing innovative solutions for configuration management.
  • Capability to build relationships across a variety of stakeholders including internal employees, engineering professionals and representatives of industry bodies.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
