Responsibilities:

- Identify risks in major lines of bank business (i.e. lending, deposits, investments, etc.) and controls in place to mitigate these risks
- Lead bank internal audits for auditable entities including lending, deposit operations, accounting and financial reporting, bank investments, teller operations, and other areas. This includes planning, executing and reporting for each audit.
- Conduct exit interviews for bank internal audits
- Assist manager, director and/or partner in conducting business risk assessments to develop internal audit plans
- Analyze and evaluate risks and controls to provide effective solutions
- Create professional reports to communicate analyses, findings, and recommendations in an effective manner
- The incumbent will work under the supervision of a highly experienced bank risk advisory services supervisor and managers and practice leaders in a wide variety of banking environments.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and or a related business discipline
- 3 + years of internal audit experience specifically focused within the financial institutions/banking industry. This experience should include all major lines of bank business. Strongly prefer public accounting with financial institution client base or current bank internal auditor experience.
- Strong verbal and written abilities
- Effective project management and organizational skills
- Significant internal and/or external client service experience
- Ability to multitask and dedicate time required to meet varying deadlines as necessary
- Ability to travel locally and overnight as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

- CPA, CBA, CFSA, or related certification (or the willingness and qualifications to obtain within the near future)
- Public accounting or other consulting services background
- Experience with Bank Internal Audit
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and confidentiality, as well as the ability to adhere to both company policies and best practices
- Ability to multitask and dedicate time required to meet varying deadlines as necessary
- Ability to work long days to meet deadlines when necessary
