Job Description

Seeking a Short Term Mine Planning Engineer for an open pit gold operation in a stunning location with a well balanced international roster. This role would be suitable for a Mining Engineer with Surpac and Whittle experience.
  • Responsible for the generation and implementation of rolling weekly, monthly and 3 monthly mining schedules
  • Heavy involvement in development of annual (budget) mining schedules.
  • The role is expected to mentor local mining engineers and significantly contribute to their technical and operational development.
  • This operation is an excellent platform from which to launch your international career.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • English communication must be to the highest level.
  • Must be familiar with open pit Drill & Blast techniques and open pit Load & Haul operations.
  • Must have proven mentoring ability, be a go getter and have a flexible attitude to work.
  • The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years continuous experience in an open pit gold mine and would be very familiar with Surpac and Mine Sched software.
  • Previous expatriate experience is not essential but would be viewed favorably.

The Services Executive is responsible for managing business development, account development, customer satisfaction, client relationships, and overall account strategies. The goal of the Services Executive is to help drive the overall services relationship forward and drive product penetration and consulting services revenue in customer engagements. Managing executive relationships and negotiating high risk situations will be an everyday challenge in this position. As a Services Executive, you will craft, propose, manage and execute the sale of customer contracts in order to achieve your revenue and business goals. To achieve these goals successfully, you will make decisions regarding the development and maintenance of client and partner relationships, work closely with the sales account teams in order to create and deliver a successful services sales strategy and leverage service offerings to address customer business needs. In order to understand the client business objectives and deliver services engagements, you will interface intimately with the client at all levels of the organization. In addition, you will actively participate in and lead account strategy and planning sessions with local and virtual Microsoft teams, which will include individuals from legal, sales, product development, product support and our partners. You will deliver regular sales forecasts and customer feedback on trends, opportunities and challenges in order to benchmark and forecast your business. Qualifications and Job Criteria: A Services Executive must have superior, expert business development and business management skills. They should demonstrate an expert level of proficiency in conflict and negotiation management. Depth of experience in a variety of applicable technologies is essential and strong services business knowledge is required. This individual must be able to understand and articulate Microsoft strategy and vision to a variety of audiences. Knowledge of Enterprise Services Frameworks is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years or more working experience in either consulting sales, client/project management, high-end professional services business development/delivery OR relevant management combined with a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
