An opportunity has arisen with an up and coming Iron Ore producer. They have existing operations in Western Australia and strong growth plans for the future. As part of the set up of a new operation they currently require a Mine Superintendent to join the company.

Reporting to the mine manager you will be responsible for leading the technical input to operations, planning and mining methods. You will be heavily involved in the mine planning and coordination of drill and blast activities. You will also act as the registered manager/Quarry manager in the mine managers absence.

The successful candidate will be from a mining engineering background with experience across short, medium, long term and LOM planning. You will have experience in management of a contract work force. An unrestricted quarry manager's certificate is essential for tis role.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and drafting of air conditioning and ventilation systems for buildings
  • Perform cooling load calculation and analysis using Carrier E-20II software
  • Perform duct and piping sizing, including correct sizing and selection of grilles and diffusers
  • Assist engineer on quantities taking off and prepare technical schedules for tender purpose
  • To coordinate design with architects and other designers

Requirements:
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or posses minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • Candidates must well versed with latest Autocad versions
