The key responsibilities of this role includes monitoring and reporting on the plants metallurgical performance. You'll provide technical support to the production team ensuring the company achieves budgeted gold output. You'll analyse operating costs and make suggestions where cost savings can be achieved. Finally, you'll provide technical training and awareness programs to site personnel and actively promote continuous improvement.

As the successful applicant you will have a good foundation in Gold CIL processing and will have a degree in metallurgy or related subject. You'll have excellent communication skills both verbal and written in addition to first rate analytical skills which can be utilised in data management systems.

Dacian Gold Limited (ASX: DCN) is well funded to conduct comprehensive exploration at its Mt Morgans Gold Project which comprises 520km2 of contiguous tenements in the highly prospective Laverton Tectonic Zone.
Dacian is seeking expressions of interest from experienced, highly motivated, applicants to undertake the role of Exploration Manager.

The role will report to the Managing Director and have responsibility for generation and testing of targets from grass roots conceptual targets through to resource extension. The successful candidate will ensure that exploration programs are designed and executed using industry best practice through supervision, mentoring and motivation of the exploration team.
To be considered for this role, candidates will need to have substantial exploration experience at a senior level, with at least five years of recent Western Australian greenstone gold exploration experience performed at a senior level.
Ideally the candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • A passion for geology and discovery;
  • Record of success in exploring for greenstone hosted gold deposits;
  • Sound knowledge of structural geology and geochemistry and its application to gold exploration;
  • Familiarity and recent experience in dealing with WA government authorities in regard to exploration permitting, native title issues and environmental obligations;
  • Good organisational skills and a hands-on approach to managing a small, site based exploration team;
  • Good working knowledge of MapInfo and either Micromine or Surpac software;
  • Willingness to spend reasonable periods at site and in the field.

We are seeking mechanically minded experienced people to operate the process plant at its most efficient level in accordance with specified standard operating practices. Operation will involve managing the plant throughout, gold recovery and resource usage through effective communication, troubleshooting and problem solving. To liaise closely with metallurgical and maintenance personnel on safety, plant performance and technical issues with the aim of optimising plant performance, increasing ease of operation and eliminating existing and potential problems.

Another valid requirement is monitoring duties such as sampling, sample analysis, inspection, log keeping and data analysing equipment performance to ensure the timely identification of malfunction and loss of performance. Carry out ancillary and troubleshooting duties including, amongst others, reagent preparation, instrument calibration and plant housekeeping.

To fulfill this role you will be able to demonstrate the following:
