Job Description

Position
Reporting to the Supervisor Processing Production, your key accountabilities will include:
  • Contributing to the achievement of production targets in a safe and efficient manner;
  • Routine plant inspections, troubleshooting and carrying out operational tasks;
  • Operation of mobile equipment, including but not limited to loaders, forklifts, excavators and Bobcats;
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching while offering advice and support in the areas of competence.

Location
You will be based at our new 'Jimblebar' mine site on a fly-in fly-out basis. Jimblebar is the first ever Greenfield mine to be both developed and operated by BHP Billiton Iron Ore and is located 40kms North East of Newman, Western Australia. The facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, netted cricket pitch, basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television with Foxtel channels, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
During the initial stages involved in commissioning the project the roster will be an 8/6 dayshift only roster. Final roster will then be allocated, which may involve changing to an 8/6, 7/7 dayshift/nightshift roster.
Initial onboarding will also take place in Perth for a period of 3-6 weeks before mobilising to site to begin technical training.
