Geotechnical Engineer

Based in a fantastic location, on the outskirts of Melbourne, a
leading mining firm is seeking to add a Geotechnical Engineer to their
team. The primary function of this role will be to carry out earth works
assessments to ensure the geotechnical safety
for both surface and underground procedures of the mine.
The successful Geotechnical Engineer will ideally have worked in
Hard rock, but other commodities such as coal are acceptable. The
emphasis on this role is underground experience. Candidates will need to
have at least 5 years underground time below their
belt.
- 5 years in an underground hard rock environment
- Solid understanding of entire mining lifecycle and processes
- Knowledge of advanced software tools - eg surpac, Vulcan etc
- A good track record, with a genuine desire to work for a leading player in the mining industry
This will be on a 5:2 roster, and will not be considered on a FIFO basis.
