Job Description

This is a mid-weight role and would suit someone with good design and preferably UX experience looking to improve their skills while working on high value brands. 
Haymarket Business Interactive is the in-house agency for Haymarket Business Media, based in Hammersmith, West London. The team comprises user experience designers, developers, QA’s and project managers who deliver and support our digital properties. From Campaign and Marketing to GP to Third Sector, we deliver solutions for market-leading brands across multiple platforms using a variety of technologies such as .net and Wordpress.
 

We have a great opportunity to join a focal team within a market-leading company. We are Agile advocates and we operate in an agency style, combining the fast pace and variety of a digital agency with the team spirit and ‘ownership’ of client work.
-You’ll work on brands such as Campaign, Marketing , GP, Windpower Monthly and Horticulture Week and will be a key player in our ability to develop new digital offerings across multiple platforms.
-With an empathetic eye for typography and obsession for fit and finish, you will, where necessary:
-Liaise with the various brands to obtain requirements
-Sketch out ideas and create wireframes and prototypes
-Design mockups in Fireworks and / or Photoshop
-Follow the build of the sites through the development team
-Be able to explain a rationale to your approach, incorporating user, advertiser and brand needs and best practise
-You will also work alongside the Business Intelligence specialists to elicit relevant and valuable customer insights that can support and inform your design direction.

Desired Skills & Experience

What You Have Done
-You’ll ideally have at least 3 year’s industry experience working within a digital design environment within a multi-brand environment
-You’ll have worked effectively with cross-functional teams
-You’ll be an experienced digital designer who has produced great looking websites….
-An exemplary understanding of branding
-Good communication skills.
-Understood the wider UX process (research, personas, use cases and screen flows)

-Some of the things you’ll know…
-Photoshop 
-Fireworks
-How to put the user at the heart of design, you’ll know exactly what a persona is and be able to find and model journeys and scenarios.

-Online testing tools
-A/B and MVT tools
-Some nice to haves…
-If you can code (html, html5, css, javascript etc) that would be an advantage. If you can’t, you’ll still love and appreciate elegant code possess a great understanding of what technology does, can and can’t do. You love developers!
