In this job, you’ll provide HR leadership to a Market Manager and his/her Store Leaders who are responsible for multiple stores within a specific geography. You will partner with these leaders to drive great people practices within their market, ensuring that Microsoft Retail Stores’ HR “rhythm” is executed: from onboarding an entire new store of employees, to supporting a new hire of an existing store, to managing the performance review process, to introducing new employee development programs. Candidates must have strong business acumen, well-honed influence skills and a proven track record of providing outstanding HR consultation to internal clients. Primary Responsibilities include: Work independently and with other HR partners to solve organizational capability issues and to proactively identify opportunities that align with the business needs
Seek and be available for store employees’ feedback, ideas, and concerns. Routinely visit stores
Contribute to the development of HR strategies for Microsoft Retail Stores: and execute those strategies
Clearly understand the retail business, mission, challenges, business initiatives and business model.
Consult with leaders in the applicable geography to influence and facilitate the development of their organizational priorities and related change initiatives.
Proactively identify major issues and build effective solutions
Successfully drive key HR rhythm of the business processes with clients, including Performance Management, Career Development, MS Poll and more; and uses these activities as a platform for further influencing and enabling positive change within the organization.
Enable other HR team and extended team members to reach our business objectives


Qualifications include a minimum of 3 years of directly applicable HR experience, preferably in a Retail or Services environment. A BS/BA in Human Resources, Business or related field is preferred. Retail industry experience a plus; Must have demonstrated competence in supporting and facilitating the day-to-day HR needs of a diverse population, employee relations, organizational development, coaching, training and development and an understanding of compensation and benefits. The ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, recognize trends, and identify systemic approaches to solving problems in this fast moving, constantly changing environment is imperative; Experience working with managers and multi-client groups required; Candidates must have demonstrated skills in the areas of: business acumen, consulting, systems thinking, data analysis, project management, in a human resources role and structure. Candidates must also be willing to travel as required up to 75% of the time.
