Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be part of a talented team of professionals, serving the mineral and energy industries. Essential position functions include the performance of rock mechanic, subsidence and ventilation analyses for various mining and underground civil projects; management of data collection and model development for resource estimates; and management of rock testing activities.
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are a Master’s Degree in Mining Engineering plus 5 years of experience serving the mining or underground civil construction industries. Professional Engineering (PE) certification preferred. Must be willing to travel and work in field, including underground. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Skills: Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Visual Basic, SurvCADD, DataMine, UDEC, FLAC, QuickSurf, Surfer, Grapher, Excel, and Word.
