Job Description

A great opportunity exists at Leighton Contractors within the Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) Shared Services Team. Having demonstrated its ability to consistently produce high quality SH&E reports and dashboards for Operational Line Managers through 2013, the team is looking to further optimise its delivery of reporting and strengthen its analytical capability. The Reporting Systems Analyst role will be based in Chatswood and report into the SH&E Manager, Reporting & Analysis who heads up the SH&E Shared Services Team. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a small nucleus of Reporting Systems Analysts to automate the generation of SH&E report and dashboard content and optimise production effort;
  • Identify and conduct analyses, ad hoc reports and presentation preparation and delivery as agreed with SH&E Manager, Reporting & Analysis;
  • Analyse incident trends to identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations to senior management;
  • Design, develop and modify reports in Analysis Tool as agreed with SH&E Manager, Reporting & Analysis;
  • Develop tools to increase the capability and capacity of users of Cintellate on and off project to report and analyse;
  • Establish and maintain productive collaborative relationships with analysts of adjacent systems;
  • Pursue integration with the content of other systems to enhance our ability to underpin decision making for the business;
  • Identify opportunities for improving current systems and processes, share those ideas and overcome inevitable obstacles to make them a reality.

Desired Skills & Experience

Skills, experience and ability you must have to complement the existing team:
  • Five years experience in an analytical role with a heavy emphasis on quality and timely delivery;
  • Strong skills and flexibility in Visual Basic for Applications (be able to demonstrate your work);
  • Perseverance and a willingness to work hard;
  • A relevant OHS/Quality/Risk/IT/Engineering/Science degree.
Skills, experience and ability we would like you to have:
  • A good ability with statistics and strong technical writing skills;
  • Prior experience with an operation critical system such as Cintellate for a significant organisational structure such as Leighton Contractors;
  • Knowledge of/experience with management systems.
