Senior Mine Engineer, Colorado

Geopros is excited to be sourcing for a Senior Mine Engineer for their client company in Colorado.  The client company is a provider of coal and transportation and related services throughout the Western and Southwestern United States.

The Senior Mine Engineer is responsible for developing short and long range mine plans as well as new mine expansion and project planning. The Senior Mine Engineer will also be responsible for annual budgeting and capital justification. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and will enjoy mentoring more junior employees.

Requirements:

BSc. Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline is required

Minimum of 8 years of experience in the coal mining industry is required

Professional Engineer designation is a plus

Experience with AutoCAD/Carlson and MS Office Suite

Geologic modeling experience and Runge software experience is a plus.
