Wholesale Manager British American Tobacco - Jakarta


Job Description

You will be responsible to developing and implementing strategy and plans for wholesale channel, in accordance to the business development strategy, in order to maximize share, volume and profit performance for wholesale channel in the most effective and efficient way.

You will have to :


  • Identify wholesale channel business opportunities and develop and implement the wholesale strategy and budget to ensure that the objectives on market share, availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality and customer price of products are achieved for the wholesale channel
  • Develop and implement a wholesale brand and trade coverage plan, define wholesale program, dialogue conversation and trading terms (e.g. bonus, credit, discounts, etc) and build and maintain a database for strategic wholesale outlets, in order to maximize market share, volume and profit in the wholesale channel
  • Coordinate with the regions to implement the wholesale plan, program and trading terms and help to translate these in a sales/distribution plan for regions' reality, in order to meet the wholesale channel objectives in the region
  • Enhance understanding of the wholesale trading environment, establish close working relationships with region/area and provide coordination and support where needed to enhance the effectiveness of wholesale sales activities in region
  • Monitor, analyze and report the business performance in the wholesale channel and ensure objectives on availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality and customer price of products are achieved for the wholesale channel within budget
  • Liaise with region and area management to develop and maintain the right capacity, capability and motivation of their workforce to deliver the brand and trade programs in the wholesale channel


  • Essential requirements


    • University degree in any major
    • Able to speak both Bahasa and English (oral & written)
    • Minimum five years experience in a commercial role in a leading FMCG industry, of which a minimum of 2 years in managerial level
    • Excellent communication and engagement skills
    • Excellent leadership and managerial skills
    • Excellent understanding of all aspects of wholesale channels and its link with the commerce strategy of the company.
