Role Summary/Purpose:

This role is responsible for leading a team of analysts to ensure complete and accurate collateral validation of Asset Based Lending accounts. The role works closely with the investment analyst team to ensure the collateral borrowing base validation and reporting is conducted within required turnaround time and meets all accuracy and completeness requirements.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide coaching, review work product and distribute work effectively among a collateral validation team that is responsible for performing borrowing base validation, report data entry, trending and data analysis.
  • Utilize metrics to drive unit focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of collateral validation and reporting compliance.
  • Serve as expert and process owner for collateral validation processes. Drive operations process improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure ongoing effectiveness and drive culture of customer service and continuous improvement of operational processes.
  • Drive understanding and adherence to company and operations policies/procedures. Ensure reporting requirements are completed in accordance with the credit agreement.
  • Drive hiring and retention of talent.
  • Deliver effective performance reviews and ongoing constructive performance feedback. Flag potential performance issues, monitor, and implement improvement measures as needed.
  • Foster a positive work environment. Recognize, reward and celebrate successes/achievements; conduct career discussions and position employees toward long-term goals.

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of collateral examination or commercial lending operational experience (or high school diploma/GED and 6+ years of collateral examination or other operational experience)
  • Knowledge of collateral monitoring, credit agreements and general asset based lending principles
  • Prior managerial experience and project management experience
  • Experience using commercial software and database applications and experience analyzing and interpreting qualitative data
  • Experience with MS office, fluent in Excel
