Responsibilities

  • Execute in country the Global CWT Vision where CWT will be the leanest travel transaction processor; the most effective travel management consultant, system integrator and business process outsourcer capable of providing high touch assistance and security for our clients
  • Deliver profitable sales growth, develop and drive strategy, regularly communicate progress / achievement of targets, extend into growth markets and maximize opportunities.
  • Consider the impact of commercial arrangements on global accounts and not only from a country perspective.
 
Strategy Development


  • Develop strategies for revenue growth and assessment of potential acquisitions and other strategies for growth. Develop the strategy and vision for the CWT entity and devise the implementation plan. Communicate strategic plan to employees and elicit their buy-in. Monitor customer and supplier feedback and market intelligence in order to develop additional strategies to combat threats in the market.
  • Build strategy and vision with the executive team. Secure information and identify key issues relevant to achieving growth targets in both domestic and APAC markets. Consider the opportunities and risks associated with various options and select the course of action with the highest probability of success.
  • Devise, implement and communicate the Strategic Blueprint for the relevant country.
 Financial / Commercial Management


  • Manage profit and loss statement (EBITDA), cash flow position and balance sheet
  • Develop creative pricing strategies. Strike the optimal balance of investment for the future vs. harvest for the present. Drives stringent cost management in tandem to growing revenues.
  • Identify / recognise financial information gaps or the need for additional information and obtain it.
  • In conjunction with the CFO, organise information and data to identify / explain trends, problems, and their root causes.  Facilitate the development of solutions for financial shortfalls.
  • Regularly analyse transaction volumes and revenue streams, current status of sales prospects, revenue forecasts etc.
Sales & Marketing


  • Tailor sales, marketing and communications to suit client requirements. Recognise and sell different product / solutions for different customers. Develop the customer value proposition. Create a best-of-breed product / solution reputation. Maintain constant communication to key client contacts. Be the face of the business from a customer’s perspective. Lead disciplined sales activity. Keep abreast of current travel management solutions / product developments and trends relevant to market opportunities and competition. Know status of relationship with key decision makers in current and prospective clients.
  • Key actions are to understand key market drivers, maintain effective external market intelligence sources, and identify strategies for increasing marketing / brand impact. Need to provide Program Optimisation for customers and Profit optimisation for CWT.  Think with the customer in mind.

Leadership
 
  • Creates a clear view of the vision and motivate others to understand the strategic plan for the entity and the importance of goal congruence in an organisation. Influence and drive for action towards the implementation of the vision and the strategic plan.  Lead by example and model the company’s beliefs and values.  Use the vision and strategic plan as a reference point in conducting day-to-day activities. Help others see linkages between the organisation’s vision / strategy, values, systems and processes.
  • Communicate goals and KPI’s to executive team regularly and manage achievement to goals.
  • Model integrity and ethical business leadership. Motivate / encourage employees and their executive team to continuously seek opportunities for different and innovative approaches to addressing any challenges and opportunities. Facilitate the use of knowledge from internal and external sources to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recognise opportunities, encourage boundary breaking and to develop a performance management framework for the executive team with individual KPI’s for team members that are aligned to the strategic goals of the entity. Operate with enthusiasm, professionalism and passion and must lead by example in order to hardwire the values and constructive / innovative culture.
  • Foster a collaborative / constructive culture by rewarding employees for working cross functionally and contributing to breaking down silos and operating as one team. Ensure functions work collaboratively as each function is dependant on the other for the wider company’s success. Be intolerant of a culture that “blames” others instead of working as one team with the same goals.
  • Build organizational capability and develops people’s competence in order to drive for high performance.
  • Effectively assess strengths and development needs for direct reports and understand their motivations and how to engage them.

Desired Skills & Experience

Education
Degree in Business Management or related

Experience
Minimum seven to ten years business operations management experience or equivalent
 
  • Require experience in marketing, sales solicitation and financial management
  • Proven experience in coordinating activities and contributing to meeting of an organisation’s strategic objectives
  • Knowledge of automated reservations system
  • General familiarity with supplier, wholesaler, airline, rental car and cruise line operations
  • Specific experience with P&L accountability and human resources responsibility
