Transport Supervisor

Transport Supervisor

The successful applicant will ensure the smooth daily running of projects, client liaison, quality, safety, coordination of staff and equipment and will possess:
- Minimum 5 years solid field and supervisory experience in similar role
- Proven capabilities and experience in overseeing contracts, staffing coordination, task allocation, materials handling and equipment services
- Verifiable experience and competence in dealing with contract stakeholders
- Extensive experience in MC road train operations for mining and resources industry
- Training and demonstrable knowledge of fatigue management, heavy vehicle accredited schemes and current legislation and industry standards
- Extensive knowledge and experience in transport and logistics, general freight, oversize and over-mass loads and plant equipment moving.
- Relevant licences and qualifications inc. MC and Dangerous Goods
- Basic administration, Word and Excel capabilities
- Strong OH&S background
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Exceptional communication skills

- Frontline Management
- Lead Transport team in a professional and proficient manner
- Schedule and plan loads
- Ensure adherence to company policies and statutory requirements - Manage fatigue and monitor compliance with industry and company legislation and standards
- Ensure operations are run on schedule
- Manage fleet of company owned and leased vehicles
- Control budgets and work closely with management to meet targets
- Provide reports and information to management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with management, team and staff from other divisions as well as clients and other stakeholders
