Job Description
Operations Manager will lead all production related
activities of this non-union facility in Bristol, England.
Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Oversight of all manufacturing requirements from purchasing through to dispatch
- Manage and Mentor Production, Engineering, Planning/Scheduling, Purchasing, Product Development and Quality Control.
- Ensure employee training and development
- Lead and develop a team of 6 direct reports (20-+ indirect) to successfully support the company’s operations and growth.
- Continually
refine and enhance inventory and forecasting models that supports sales
and drives on- going improvement in service and working capital levels.
- Oversee vendor supply management
- Commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Coordinate
closely with Sales, Marketing, Production and Quality Control to
implement new product development from conception to successful product
launch.
- As our product offering grows, the application of best practice in inventory management is critical.
Desired Skills & Experience
Requirements:
- A proven record in the coating and converting industry.
- Supervisory experience
- Strong organizations skills
- Familiar with MS Office systems and MRP systems. (Navision)
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences or related filed preferred.
- Years industry experience preferred: 10 years+
