LEAN Transformation Change Lead
Responsibilities
  • Lead high profile LEAN program and ensure a successful roll-out across the location or function covering full scope within timeline, in a sustainable way
  • Build relationships with senior managers across the location or function and ensure that all operational areas in scope are reached by the LEAN program
  • Provide operational leadership, career facilitation and direction to direct reports and distributed teams where appropriate; identify key management and technical leadership and ensure all are comfortable with direction, their roles and their opportunities
  • Drive effective performance and talent management of teams including making effective hires, developing and training employees, coaching for optimal performance, providing regular feedback on performance, taking appropriate corrective action when needed to promote optimal employee performance and low staff turnover
  • Build high performing teams; define roles and responsibilities, learning program, and career path for LEAN change agents and change leaders.
  • Governance and steering of location or department program. Build central governance, meeting structure (for both program and individual projects) and steering committee to oversee on-going efforts, and coordinate across regions
  • Track progress of program and financial impact;
  • Ownership of communications to all levels of the firm. Set communications strategy and leverage all available communication tools and channels
  • Define Continuous Improvement infrastructure; resources, support approach, assessment methods and tools
  • Develop and enforce LEAN Management design standards and the "JP Morgan Way".
  • Create capacity management protocols for defining how to manage freed up capacity (FTEs) (e.g., redeployment options, hiring freezes, overtime reductions) while preparing for future volume growth.

Qualifications

Skills / Experience:
  • The preferred candidate must have had prior LEAN experience (by using the McKinsey methodology) and must have led at least two waves.
  • They must also be proficient in at least 3 of the 5 LEAN lenses;

  • Ability to motivate teams to produce quality results within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects
  • Ability to make sound business decisions that are in alignment with organisational goals

  • Action-oriented, decisive approach to work required, with the willingness to take a hands-on role to ensure the deliverables are met on time with high quality
  • Energetic, positive attitude required, along with good negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to navigate matrix organisation and develop strong relationships with all levels of management and staff
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Proven ability to take action beyond what is required
  • Ideally experience of Lean/Six Sigma methodology and implementation
