The ASA is responsible for engineering governance, assurance of design safety, and ensuring the integrity of transport and infrastructure assets.

Job Description
Develop and manage a systems architecture approach for the rail network to inform strategic network decisions and to enable effective design to be undertaken by various engineering disciplines across a complex engineering environment that meets user requirements for performance and also meets standards, specifications and legislative requirements.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline and/ or relevant business or management discipline.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice in a multidisciplinary engineering environment affecting rail services and assets.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a complex organisation delivering specialist advice.
  • Capability to build relationships across a variety of stakeholders including internal employees, engineering professionals and representatives of industry bodies.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
  • Capacity to operate both independently, using initiative and self direction, and as a team member to produce consistently high quality work.
  • Ability to use initiative and maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach.
