Job Description

ROLE:
Cisco seeks a Systems Engineer to partner with our Account Manager in a pre-sales technical role. In this role you will gain access to the broad palette of Cisco technologies and applications in Service Provider markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Showcasing Cisco product solutions-setting up demonstrations and explaining features and benefits to customers-and designing and configuring products to meet specific customer needs
• Provide technical and sales support for accounts and deliver technical presentations for customers, partners.
• Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities.
• Collaboration with Account Teams, develop Cisco solution and drive to closure on opportunities, including forward thinking ideas and how to beat competition.
• Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services.

Desired Skills & Experience

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

1. 10+ years related experience. Cisco product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in technology area of emphasis required. Pre-Sales experience required.

2. Typically requires BS/BA (Electrical Engineering or Computer Science) or equivalent. CCNP/CCIP and/or CCIE certification highly desirable and/or preferred

3 Must have in-depth knowledge of in Service Provider Technologies as such as :
- Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS)
- Multicast (IGMP, PIM,mVPN , etc)
- LAN Switching (VLAN, Trunking, Spanning tree, etc)
- IP/MPLS (VRF, mBGP, TE,PE-CE routing, )
- Metro Ethernet (e-LAN, e-LINE, e-TREE, E-OAM)
- QoS (CBWFQ, PQ, policing)
- WiFI (Access-point, Controller, 802.11 a/b/g/n)
- Optical networking (Fiber optics, DWDM, OA)
- 3GPP architecture and packet core (SGSN, GGSN, MME, p-GW, GTPv1/v2 )
- Datacenter Networking (Nexus, UCS, FcOE, fabric path,)
- SP VIdeo technology (encoder, decoder, IRB, etc)
- Broadband Technology (BRAS, ISG, AAA, LBS)
- Access Technology (DSL, GPON, FTTx)

4. Understanding and conversant about company, competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.

5. Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills.

6. Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.

8. Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

9. Self-sufficient and work with minimum supervision.

10. Able to work with multiple business function (finance, services, channel, legal, marketing) to drive customer engagement

11. Fast learner, high motivation to learn new technology
