Job Description

My client is a company with specific aims of providing quality design, supply and installation services to the steel building and cladding markets inAsia. With the rapid growth of the company, they invite applications for the following position:
Senior Structural Design Engineer
 
Job Summary
 
Design and engineering calculations for Structural Steel, Roof / Wall Claddings, Glazing Systems, Louvers and Tension Fabric Contracts, including liaison with Government Departments, Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers.
 
This person will lead a project and also a team of draftsmen, must be able to hit ground running on current live project (MTR 705). Needs to be able to pick up details quickly and be sharp/quickwitted.
 
Must be proficient in the following : SAP2000, STRAND, AutoCAD, TEKLA, XBuild (preferable but not essential).

Desired Skills & Experience

Requirements
 

• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• MHKIE or MIStructE is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills using engineering software.
• More than 5 years experience in design of structural steels and facades experience
• Conversant with local construction regulations, formalities and BD submission
• Capable of supervising/coordinating design and drafting teams
• Good command of English, knowledge in Chinese is an advantage
• Hong Kong residents or candidates with valid HK work visas only
