AMEC
Environment & Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Civil /
Geotechnical Mining Engineer to join our team in Denver,
CO.
Key
Responsibilities
· Provide geotechnical engineering services related to tailings, heap
leach and mine waste.
· Supervise and lead design activities on all phases of mine development
and mine closure related to tailings management and leach
facilities.
· Will
perform business development efforts to provide diversification, development,
and growth of services through new business opportunities and expansion of
business with existing clients using the seller/doer model.
· Assist
in proposal preparation including innovative technical approaches and
competitive pricing. Will prepare and perform client
presentations.
· Provide geotechnical engineering services with respect to tailings
impoundments or heap leach facilities.
· Carry
out analytical and design functions for projects at stages ranging from scoping
to detailed engineering, construction and closure.
· Technical management and direction of site investigations and preparing
technical reports.
· Managing and coordinating project teams, including ensuring the
technical quality of deliverables.
· Provide Project Management function where required.
· Have a
high level of client interaction.
· Be
encouraged to become a senior contributing member of the AMEC Mining Group which
is a global team of professionals responsible for the design, operating
assistance and closure/reclamation planning of tailings, leach and mine waste
facilities around the world.
Qualifications:
· BS
degree in Civil, Mining or Geological Engineering. MS degree preferred but not
required.
· Registered Professional Engineer.
· 20 -
25 + years of experience.
· Business development experience and demonstrated ability to develop and
maintain strong client relationships as well as experience in proposal
preparation.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills in
English.
· Demonstrated report writing skills.
· Demonstrated Project Management skills.
· Ability to supervise, train and mentor junior staff.
· Strong
writing and communication skills a must.
· Interest in continued development of technical and project management
skills, working alongside senior staff and via interaction with experts in
AMEC’s offices worldwide.
· Must
pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in
accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
