Belt Splicer - Long Term Contract - 2:1 FIFO
I'm currently looking for a belt splicer with to join a world leading mine owner on one of their established Pilbara mine sites. If you are looking for a secure contract with great career opportunities, then this is the role for you!
Day to day activities include:
- Repairs, maintenance and installations
- Identifying common belt damage/faults and know best method of repair
- Creation of splice reports
- Conducting belt audits
Essential Requirements:
- 5 years experience in a similar role
- Belt splicing certification
- Basic rigging
- HR licence
Desirable:
- 10 years experience
- Forklift ticket

Job consists in delivering engineering to drill development or exploration wells:- Dedicated to a rig follow-up or to transverse studies
- Design well trajectories and architectures
- Run simulations for casing design, torq and drag, hydraulics, anti-collision, well control
- Issue drilling programs and procedures, end of well reports, feed-back
- Conduct prespud meetings on rigs
- Assess New technologies
- Prepare for drilling services some call for tenders and follow some contracts
- Perform drilling engineering studies
- Follow-up performance through ALI and KPI's
- Prepare and follow well cost and budgets
- Defend to SKK Migas technical drilling subjects (AFE, cost overrun, operational problems explanations)

Job Description
A construction role, predominantly on a construction site, with delivery responsibility, learning hands-on construction management. The role may initially be based in the engineering office providing an opportunity to input into constructability philosophy and planning before mobilising to site.The individual will have responsibility for a specific area of the facility during construction and serve as the owner’s representative for a discipline area
Key accountabilities
• Lead by example in observing all safety rules and procedures and conducting daily Safety Observations and Conversations.
• Monitor site activities for potential HSSE impacts.
• Carry out task based risk assessments and ensure that all personnel undertake site induction and toolbox talks.
• Own the risks and risk action plans for specific scope/equipment.
• Maintain the risk register and update mitigations regularly ensuring adequate risk mitigation or contingency plans are in place.
• Execute the approved construction schedules and manage the EPCc Contractor’s construction team to ensure compliance with Project Standards, Practices and Procedures.
• Ensure all construction discipline activities are achieved within schedule and comply with health, Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
• Monitor and audit conformance and expedite corrective action on deviations and non-compliance.
• Set and monitor progress against KPIs and intervene in a timely manner when corrective action is required.
• Resolve general conflicts, disputes, disagreements etc. in a timely and efficient manner.
• Pre-qualify potential contractors and assist in evaluating contractor technical proposals.

• Participate in Constructability Studies.

• Oversee and audit all preservation activities.
• Provide budget management, monitor schedule and control costs for specified scope.
• Track planned vs. actual and understand cost and schedule variances, provide early warning of issues and take corrective action.
• Review Contractor's Progress Reporting and provide standard project reports to site leadership.
• Monitor contract amendments and evaluate the need for and impact of changes.
• Ensure alignment to pre-established information management system, and quality of project deliverables to Commissioning/archive.

Essential Education
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
