We now have an opportunity for a Senior Materials Engineer to join our busy Indonesian office in Central Jakarta. You will be responsible for carrying out corrosion risk and material selection studies for one of our major Oil & Gas FEED projects.
This Senior Materials Engineer will be responsible for some of the following tasks:

Selection and review of materials and the development of material specifications;

Assessment of service life corrosion, life cycle cost analysis;

Design and review of cathodic protection systems and corrosion monitoring facilities;

Selection of protective coatings for atmospheric exposure;

Review of inspection methods for pipelines;

Supporting other disciplines (including Piping, Mechanical and Pipelines) to name a few;

Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Job Requirements

You will be required to have the following skills and/or qualifications:

Tertiary degree in materials engineering or equivalent;

Extensive experience in materials selection, corrosion management & integrity assessments for major Oil & Gas projects;

Experience in use of international corrosion modelling software packages;

Good knowledge and experience with international codes and standards;

Experience of CRA materials is a must;

Excellent report writing skills;

Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization;

Proven track record of exceeding performance metrics.
