Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join the Cargill team in Jakarta. Key responsibilities for the Applications and Technical Services Manager will be to;

• Trigger sales of imported Cargill Sweetener Products in order to reach the commercial targets. Currently the products indicated are glucose and fructose syrups, but could in the future be further expanded with other type of products. Main targeted segments are confectionery and beverage.
• Develop targeted food and beverage markets for imports from different global sourcing centers.
• Monitor markets and products for sales opportunities.
• Establish and develop close working relations with multiple disciplines at key food and beverage companies, specifically R&D, Product Development and Purchasing.

• Provide application/technical support to the selected customer and channel appropriate support requests to relevant functions.
• Analyze the market and its opportunities and participate in strategic projects with regards to Cargill sweetener products presence.
• Monitor the activities of competitors including investment activities in the target markets as well as product offers/imports from competitors in the target market.
• Stay familiar with all regulatory work affecting our customer’s activities in South East Asia including customs tariffs, labeling and food safety legislation.
• Manage administration of Project Tracker for SEA

Desired Skills & Experience

The following skills and experience would be essential for the position;

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of technical/managerial experience in the Food and or Pharmaceutical industry
• First hand experience with development of new products and implementation of new ingredinets

The following experience would be desirable;

• At least 5 years working experience in Product Development or Quality Control to the food and or pharmaceutical industries
• Deep knowledge of the food markets including confectionery and beverage industry
• Strong understanding of technical and technological side of customer business
• Ability and experience in working with different disciplines specifically R&D and Product Development
• Defree within the Food Sciences discipline
