closely associated with the resources sector in Africa. Due to
significant international investment in the region, they are poised to
take advantage of the buoyant market conditions and high quality
resources in the region. With a broad client base, this company provides
high quality mining equipment and support that is second to none.
Currently there is a requirement for a CAT trained Technical Communicator to play a crucial role within this growing organisation.
In this position you will be called upon to resolve technical support requests for internal and external customers across open pit mobile mining plant including off highway trucks, dozers, loaders and graders etc. You will create and conduct technical training classes for employees and customers, conduct research, troubleshoot problems, complete failure analysis reports, carry out warranty inspections and assists parts personnel in locating hard to find parts.
Due to the specific nature of this role, experience working within a CAT OEM in mining will be essential to your success and will be complimented by the following skills:

- Mechanical trade / engineering background and min 3+ years CAT OEM exposure in mining
- Excellent technical and operational knowledge of hydraulics, transmissions, components, electrical and fuel systems of CAT mining equipment
- Proven background, repairing, maintaining and servicing of CAT open pit mining plant
- Ability to communicate and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, planning and time management skills
- Advanced computer literacy and familiarity with CAT internal systems and programs
