Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and driven person to join our product management team as a leader and influencer of our network management product strategy and architecture. Role is based in Redwood City.

Responsibilities include:

• Drive product strategy and full life cycle product management for the Silver Spring network management solution for very large scale networks traversing HANs, NANs, and WANs.
• Work with security and performance subject matter experts to create product strategy and product plans for a complete FCAPS solution.
• Contribute towards the development of the next gen operating system, including key components such as network coordination, prioritization and network management of millions of devices in the smart grid network.
• Monitor industry trends while working closely with customers and partners to deliver best of breed network management solutions and tools.
• Create and communicate product roadmaps to continue leadership in networking technology.
• Support key sales and marketing engagements as the subject matter expert.
• Define, document and prioritize requirements in Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), including technical and commercial requirements;
• Partner with sales and marketing for successful product launches to deliver results in line with corporate objectives, including customer wins, bookings and profit targets;
• Monitor and win against competitive offerings in the market;
• Support sales with lead customer engagements, trials, RFPs, collateral, competitive analysis, business cases and general delivery of compelling marketing collateral.

Required Experience

• Strong understanding of core networking technologies, protocols, network management, and operating system fundamentals as applied to large RF mesh networks.
• Demonstrated leadership in full life cycle product management role in a technology company.
• Demonstrated ability to bring people together across functions to drive results;
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Ability and desire to travel to customers and partners worldwide;
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer science;
• 8+ years’ experience or less with a master’s degree
