Job Responsibilities:
• Assist in due diligence investigations and operations assessments
• Design surface mining operations and facilities, including equipment selection and performance
• Surface mine feasibility studies, including operating cost, capital expenditures, and cash flow projections
• Equipment valuations
• Evaluate mine management and maintenance procedures
• Conduct environmental audits and permit compliance assessments
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related technical field, with a minimum seven years progressively responsible experience in mine engineering and operations. Experience and knowledge of surface coal mining methods, including productivity, equipment, staffing, management, industry and company safety standards, capital and operating cost estimation, and budget preparation. Experience using mining software (Carlson), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office software, and excellent writing skills. Candidates possessing, or with the ability to obtain, a Professional Engineer’s license are desired.
