seven mines, more than 1,600 kilometres of rail and two separate world
class port facilities; Nelson Point and Finucane Island at Port Hedland.
Position
Reporting to the Supervisor Processing Production, your key accountabilities will include:
- Contributing to the achievement of production targets in a safe and efficient manner;
- Routine plant inspections, troubleshooting and carrying out operational tasks;
- Operation of mobile equipment, including but not limited to loaders, forklifts, excavators and Bobcats;
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching while offering advice and support in the areas of competence.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Experience in large scale process material handling plants with a proven track record in the follow fields
- Gyratory Crushers
- Double deck screening (scalping and product)
- Stockyard management (lump and fines product)
- Reclaimers
- Train Load out systems
- Mobile equipment experience an added advantage in bobcat, loader and tip truck
- "C" Class Drivers Licence, without restriction.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes.
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes.
Previous experience working in a laboratory or heavy industrial
production environment is highly desirable, along with experience in
robotics.

Location
You will be based at our new 'Jimblebar' mine site on a fly-in fly-out
basis. Jimblebar is the first ever Greenfield mine to be both developed
and operated by BHP Billiton Iron Ore and is located 40kms North East of
Newman, Western Australia. The facilities at the FIFO village include; a
fully equipped gym, netted cricket pitch, basketball court, beach
volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts,
table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own
ensuite bathroom, television with Foxtel channels, refrigerator and
air-conditioning.
During the initial stages involved in commissioning the project the
roster will be an 8/6 dayshift only roster. Final roster will then be
allocated, which may involve changing to an 8/6, 7/7 dayshift/nightshift
roster.
Initial onboarding will also take place in Perth for a period of 3-6
weeks before mobilising to site to begin technical training.
